c.1900-1910, 58" x 79"


Wonderful early rug with possible "storm pattern" influence in design with corner mountain or clouds and possible navajo Nation central design. Unique border consistent with early 20th Century transitional period where weavers were changing from making blankets to rugs. Beautiful mid-tone border achieved by carding the light and dark wool together. 


Recently professionally cleaned. Has a small area of discoloration in the white and a small stain on the end, but overall very good condition.
